110 Schanck Road | Freehold, NJ

World-famous pop-rock band Hollywood Ending first made its mark in the summer of 2011. And band members Tyler Wilson (lead vocals), Cameron Byrd (lead vocals/guitar/piano), Dan Geraghty (vocals/lead guitar), and Chris Bourne (vocals/bass), couldn’t imagine doing anything else! Their ages range from 18 to 21 and they’re from various parts of the U.S. and the U.K.

The guys got their first taste of success when they finished in third place on Season 4 of Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing. Their summer tour, Live Forever,  recently wrapped up and they just launched their Turn Up Tour, which they will be bringing to Freehold, NJ, October 10!

We tweeted and you answered, with hundreds of questions for the band! We picked our faves and got the band to answer. Find out what kind of music gets Tyler a little crazy, what kind of animal Chris would be, and more!

@lottieismyname: What has been your favorite song to record?
Cam:
That’s a tough one. I’d have to tease you a bit and say that it’s a song we haven’t released yet! But other than that, all of “Anywhere” was so much fun to record. I think that “Freak Like Me” was the best of those, it was laid down very fast and sounded really good as a pretty raw track!

@ashparedes_: What inspired you to pursue your dreams in music?
Dan:
I vividly remember, in fourth grade, being forced to run in school with my friend, and we were both like, “What can we do to get out of running—and all sports?” And we were like, “Oh, mu-sic.”  So now here I am!

@TomSanna93 and @Sarah_g079 both asked: What is your favorite band to listen to and how does their music impact you?
Tyler:
I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers! They just get me really pumped up! They’re so unique and outside of the box that it inspires me to be kinda crazy!

@tori_donaghue says that she is eternally grateful to you guys because you have helped her through so much. She would like to know what is means to you when fans say that you’ve saved them?
Dan:
I think it’s incredible. Music and bands definitely saved me growing up, and still do to this day. When I’m sad I can just listen to bands I love and feel so much comfort and joy, and it’s awesome that people can feel that way about us and our music.

@_hwoodsam: If you could tour with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
Dan: I think it would probably have been absolutely insane to have been on tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Nirvana back in the Nineties, although the fans would definitely hate us! [He chuckles.] It would be awesome!

@KayBabe1350 has an interesting one for you: If evil-doers invaded your country would you rush to the battle lines to defend the motherland or hide in a box?
Tyler:
I’m not really sure! I’ve never been in a fight and don’t really want to hurt anyone but I would do what I had to to protect my loved ones!

@itsellenxoxo16: How does it feel to be known around the world for your music?
Chris:
It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do in life, so it’s a dream come true. It only really hit me when we toured Japan and kids in the crowd were singing every word back at us. A surreal moment.

@deanlxmon: How does it feel to perform on stage?
Cam:
It’s the best feeling in the world. Each night reminds me why I joined a band in the first place.

@Kristen_McFly: What is your favorite song to play live together?
Cam:
We really bounce off of the crowd energy every night, and we love playing all of our songs so if there is a song that people are singing louder than the rest, it instantly becomes a favorite!

@LaurenGriff27: What do you look forward to most when touring?
Cam:
There are so many parts of tour that are fun! I think that playing on stage is the best of them all, and second to that is meeting fans and traveling, seeing tons of new cities, countries, and states that look incredibly different from one another.

@DearBeckie: If you were in a different band with three famous musicians of your choice, who would you choose?
Dan:
Lil’ Wayne, Dave Grohl and Gerard Way

@jennyamelia247: If you were not part of Hollywood Ending what job would you guys like to have?
Chris:
I would probably just chill on a beach, play the guitar and surf every day. For money I’d just sell ice cream.
Cam: Such a funny question because I would probably do something that had nothing to do with music. Maybe I would try acting, or maybe something completely different like being a doctor. I never really give it much thought because of how much fun I have being in a band!

@meggerah: What is your favorite thing is to eat while on the road on tour?
Dan:
I love touring and going to all different parts of the world, like being in Cali, getting In-N-Out Burger is obviously awesome, Whataburger in Texas is great and Cracker Barrel is incredible! Anywhere I can get a home-cooked-feeling meal is amazing. It’s really hard to avoid fast food on tour and it gets old really fast!

@jaydeneee_: What is your favorite thing about [going] to Scotland?
Chris:
The accent is just next level! When ever we roll up through the mountains I feel like I’m reenacting scenes from the movie Braveheart.

@HWEinPARIS: Are you planning a gig in Paris? What is your favorite song on your album Anywhere?
Cam:
I really hope so! We would love to travel to France and play for our fans that we know pretty well from Twitter! You’ll just have to wait in suspense until then. And I would have to say “Freak Like Me” is probably my favorite from Anywhere because it is the only song that I think is timeless. I never get tired of listening to it, which is rare!

@HWoodEndingFR: Are any of you able to speak French?
Chris:
There was a time when I got pretty good, but now I just speak a lot of nonsense!

@thewantedrules: What is your favorite memory, as a band or in general?
Chris:
My favorite memory is going to the park with my mum and going ham [crazy] on the monkey bars! I used to slay the monkey bars!

@ellex97 and @bethcrissmcfly: If you could go back to the future what year would you go back to and why?
Tyler:
I would love to go back to a time like the Twenties and play them dubstep just to blow their minds!

@HWEAudry: If you had an unlimited amount of money for a day, what would you do?
Tyler:
I’d try to give a ton of it away to people that need it then I would buy awesome houses for me and all my friends and family!

@brittymariex3 is from Philly, known widely for their unforgettable cheesesteaks, and wants to know what your favorite cheesesteak place is!
Dan:
You know we love Pats and Genos, but we always end up going to this place called Jim’s which is ballin’. It’s right next door to a venue we play all the time there called the TLA and it just tastes incredible. I’m craving it really bad now!

@potatolegs1505 gets specific and wants to know what flavor yogurt did Dan spill on the floor? What went on here—can we get a little background on this yogurt situation?
Dan:
I got this little parfait of yogurt from the gas station, and I’m such a messy eater. So naturally it fell off the dashboard it was sitting on and spilled literally everywhere. I think it was strawberry? Anyway, it was the worst cleaning it up. It was all stuck in the seats and stuff.

@hwoodemma gets a little deep with her question and wants to know if you were invisible and you closed your eyes, would you be able to see through your eyelids?
Tyler:
Oh. My. Gosh. My mind is blown.

And lastly, @codysteddybear1: If you could be any animal what would you be?
Chris:
A monkey.
