Go Kart Racing To Cure the New Jersey Winter Blues

When your kids start getting a little stir-crazy this winter, kick the excitement into high gear with some go kart racing! Plan a fun-filled day with an extreme spin around the indoor Pine Belt Speedway, sure to put their boredom to rest. What kid doesn’t like a little friendly competition against family and friends to get the adrenaline going?

iPlay America offers thrills on the Speedway for all your riders, young or old! That means parents, you can get in on the fun, too. But, just a warning, they may be small, but these speedy electric karts sure pack a punch!

Catch the Racing Bug
Go kart racing Image 2

Did you know? The original go kart was invented by Art Ingels in 1956. Ingles worked for a Southern California race car company and designed the first go kart by tinkering with surplus metal tubes, wheels and an old lawn mower engine in his workshop.

Of course, we’ve come a long way since the 1950s. Now, with speedy electric go karts, banked turns and blazin’ fast straightaways, you’ll be sure to catch the racing bug after just a few laps in the iPlay America indoor amusement park. Plus, here you can learn the basics of competition, without the dangers of “real” kart racing.

Race Day Tips

Racers young and old can enjoy a race around our indoor course. Children ten years old (and 56 inches) can drive by themselves, feeling what it’s like to be behind the wheel. Younger passengers (4 years old and 36 inches) can ride double with an adult (18yo and 60 inches).

If you’re new to go kart racing, the first time you sit behind the wheel, you might be surprised by its power. Just go easy on the throttle and practice your basic skills at first. You know, like turning the corner without sliding. Soon you’ll be embracing the wind in your hair and whooping it up as you race around the turns.

No matter what kind of go kart racer you are, there’s nothing quite as exciting as lapping your friends or leaving your family in the dust.

Whether it’s a snow day, winter break, birthday party or you’re planning a celebration for a special event (like your teen passing their driving license exam), go kart racing is a great way to revel.

Did you know? Many Formula One and NASCAR drivers, such as Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Jeff Gordon, got their start racing go karts?

Get in on the Action at Central Jersey’s iPlay America

At iPlay America, we have thrilling electric go kart racing for all ages; the adrenaline on the track can’t be beat. Come with the whole family or bring a group of friends (or both)! And when you’re done with the race, hit up NJ’s largest arcade, challenge your skill on our all-new Sky Trail High Ropes Course (or our Kidz Ropes Course) or go head-to-head in a bumper car battle royale…then come back to the go karts for more racing fun!
