New Jersey knows how to have a good time. Despite being the 4th smallest state in America by geographic size, it’s home to some of the most fun, frequently visited tourist destinations in the Northeast. The coastal towns of Seaside Heights and Point Pleasant, part of the notorious Jersey Shore, thrive during the summer as locals and tourists flock to the beach and boardwalk for some relaxation. Drive south for 70 miles and you’ll hit Atlantic City, the perfect place for a bachelor/bachelorette party or spontaneous Friday night road trip. In Jackson, you’ll find some of the fastest and tallest roller coasters in the world at Six Flags Great Adventure, which is part of the reason it was named the second best theme park in America by USA Today. Those three places are really fun, for very different reasons, but they tend to be much less fun when it’s cold outside.
Which brings us to iPlay America, a massive indoor mecca of entertainment located in Freehold, New Jersey that opened November 11, 2011 to the delight of locals. For a better idea of how big iPlay America really is, the 115,000 square foot venue is over 2.5X larger than the flagship Dave & Buster’s in Dallas, and 4X larger than their average location.
Open 7 days a week, all year round, iPlay America combines some of the best aspects of AC, Six Flags and the Jersey Shore to create a venue that’s fun for children, teens and adults. Admission to iPlay America is free, as is the WiFi, allowing visitors to engage a la carte in everything they have to offer on-site…which is a lot.
